Features
Everything Offdesk does today
Tasks and docs that people and their agents share, in the browser and in apps for every desktop and Android. Here is all of it, without the roadmap.
Tasks
Personal tasks, team tasks, and the details that keep them moving.
-
Refs
Every task has a short ref like ZAL-12. Links, people and agents all use it, and it keeps working after a task moves to another team.
-
Status and assignee
Not started, in progress, in review, done. Assign a task to anyone on the team, or leave it with yourself.
-
Comments and images
Discuss a task in its comments, with screenshots attached to the task or to a comment.
-
Drafted for you
Type a line or add screenshots, and Offdesk writes the task from them. It keeps going if you close the app.
-
List, table and search
Group by due date in a list, or see every field in a table. Filter to your tasks or the ones agents are on, and search names and notes.
-
Repeating tasks
Monthly on the 1st, every three months, every weekday. Marking one done creates the next, due when the rule next falls.
Due dates and reminders
Teams are rarely in one time zone. Offdesk keeps track so you don't have to.
-
A day or a moment
A due date is a calendar day, the same everywhere, or a time in a time zone: 17:00 in Los Angeles is 08:00 the next morning in Hong Kong.
-
In everyone's own time
Each person sees due times in their own time zone, which the apps keep current.
-
Reminders
A reminder at the due time or before it, pushed to the Android app or emailed.
-
A morning summary
What's due and overdue, emailed at 8:00 where you are.
Docs
Every task is a page; a doc is a page without the task fields.
-
Markdown, edited visually
Headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code, links, tables and images, written by agents over MCP or by you in the editor.
-
Refs, comments and teams
A doc has a ref, comments, images and a team like any task, and can be handed to an agent.
-
Versions
Changes are kept as versions. An edit made against an old version is refused, so nobody overwrites a teammate's or an agent's work unseen.
Agents over MCP
Offdesk's MCP server lets agents manage tasks for you and work on them as themselves.
-
Sign in, no keys
An agent connects to https://offdesk.so/api/mcp, opens a page to sign in and approve it, and acts as you from then on. Tokens are OAuth 2.1 and bound to Offdesk's MCP server.
-
Start, update, finish
An agent starts work on a task (it shows as the agent and its computer, e.g. Claude Code on Studio), posts progress as comments, and hands over a summary with links for review.
-
Questions with options
An agent can ask you something, with up to six options, and wait for your answer. You get a push or an email, and answer in the app.
-
Review
Approve what an agent hands over and the task is done, or send it back with a note.

Needs you
The page for everything your agents are waiting on you for.
-
Questions, review, stuck
Questions from agents working on tasks, work handed over for review, and work that got blocked, across all your teams.
-
Approvals from your computers
With Offdesk Dev paired, approvals and questions from agents in your terminals show up here too, and your answer goes back to the terminal.
-
Told at once
A new question or handoff is pushed to your phone right away, and emailed if no app took it.
Teams
Personal tasks stay yours; team tasks are shared with every member.
-
Invitations
Invite people by email. A team invitation also lets them into the beta without a code.
-
Members and time zones
See who can be assigned, and what time it is where they are.
-
Move between teams
Move a task from personal to a team or between teams. It gets a new ref, and the old one still works.
Computers, with Offdesk Dev
Offdesk Dev runs your agents' terminals on your own machines; Offdesk shows you what they're doing.
-
Agent runs
Each paired computer's agents: running ones with their folder, status, progress and task, and the ones that finished in the last day.
-
Hand a task to an agent
Pick a computer, Claude Code or Codex, a folder and a permission mode; the Hub starts the agent with the task as its first message and links its run to the task.
-
Your terminals stay yours
Offdesk receives agent runs as the Hub's settings allow, never terminal output. Phones pair with your Hub directly, and Offdesk never holds the pairing keys.
Apps
One Offdesk on the web and in apps.
-
macOS, Windows, Linux
Desktop apps for macOS 12 or later (Apple silicon or Intel), Windows 10 or 11, and Linux (AppImage, .deb, .rpm). They update themselves.
-
Android
Install the app from offdesk.so; it tells you when a newer one is out. Pushes for assignments, comments, reminders and agents, and sharing screenshots into a new task.
-
iPhone
Coming.
-
The web
Everything works at offdesk.so in a browser, with keyboard shortcuts and light and dark themes.
Signing in
Simple accounts, careful sessions.
-
Email or Google
Sign up with an email address (verified before first use) and a password, or with Google.
-
Invitation beta
New accounts start with an invitation from a friend, a team or the Offdesk team.
-
Sessions and tokens
Browser sessions are HttpOnly cookies that expire after seven days. Agents and apps get their own OAuth tokens, which can't be used for each other.
Try it with your agents
Create an account, enter your invitation, and connect Claude Code or Codex in a minute.
